What Is Trézor.io/Start®?

Trézor.io/Start® is the official setup page created by Trezor. It’s the only source you should use when starting your device. This page helps you:

  • Download and install Trezor Suite
  • Set up and initialize your hardware wallet
  • Back up your recovery phrase
  • Start sending, receiving, and managing crypto
  • Learn key safety rules for protecting your assets

Typing Trézor.io/Start® into your browser directly helps ensure you’re not redirected to fake or scam sites.

Why Use a Trezor® Hardware Wallet?

Trezor® devices store your private keys offline, making them highly secure. Even if your computer is hacked, your crypto remains safe, because the device never exposes your keys to the internet.

Here’s why Trezor is trusted by crypto users worldwide:

  • Offline key storage (cold wallet)
  • PIN and passphrase protection
  • Open-source software and firmware
  • User-friendly Trezor Suite application
  • Multi-asset support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and hundreds more
  • Secure backup and recovery system

When you own a Trezor, you control your crypto. No third party can access your assets unless they have your device and your secret recovery phrase.

What Comes Inside the Box?

When you open your Trezor package, you should find:

  • One Trezor hardware wallet (Model One or Model T)
  • USB cable (or USB-C for Model T)
  • Recovery phrase cards (1 or 2, depending on model)
  • Magnetic dock (Model T only)
  • Trezor stickers and quick start instructions

Make sure all contents are sealed and untampered. If the box appears opened or altered, do not use the device — contact Trezor support immediately.

How to Set Up Your Trezor® Wallet

Here’s a step-by-step setup process:

Step 1: Go to Trézor.io/Start®

Using your browser, manually type Trézor.io/Start®. This is the trusted and verified setup page. Select your model (Trezor Model One or Model T) and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Download Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the desktop and web app that allows you to manage your crypto. It lets you send, receive, buy, swap, and track your assets with ease. Download it only from the official setup page.

Step 3: Connect and Initialize Your Device

  1. Plug in your Trezor using the USB cable.
  2. Install any required firmware updates (you’ll be prompted).
  3. Create a new wallet and generate a recovery phrase.
  4. Write down all 12, 18, or 24 words in the correct order on the provided card.
  5. Confirm the recovery phrase using the device.

⚠️ Important: Your recovery phrase is the only way to access your crypto if your device is lost or stolen. Never take photos of it, store it online, or share it with anyone.

Using Trezor Suite

Once setup is complete, use Trezor Suite to:

  • Manage your cryptocurrency
  • Add multiple accounts for different coins
  • Send and receive funds securely
  • Monitor your transaction history
  • Buy, sell, and exchange assets
  • Use passphrase protection for added security

All sensitive actions, like sending funds, must be confirmed directly on the device screen — keeping your assets safe even if your computer is compromised.

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • DASH, Zcash, Cardano, Dogecoin, and many more
